About the Author
I write in my 'pen name' to retain a small measure of privacy but that doesn't mean I am not interested in your feedback and comments - I shall give them my every, appropriate attention. 'Hell Hides in Many Hollows' is a short work [9 Chapters including a photograph library] and it tells the 'true story' of a WWII Ukrainian Displaced Person and refugee, Michael Spiwak, who left home at the age of just 16 years - and didn't see any of his family in Ukraine again until fifty years later. By the time he got back, most had been killed by German or Russian soldiers. The book is a timely reminder that wars affect so many people as well as the combatants who fight in them, and as Ukraine fends off invasion, once again, it's a poignant reminder of how the 'civil liberties' so many of us take for granted may so quickly be lost in any country that finds itself occupied by another. My main focus is Fictional Horror, and this astonishing true story is not 'out of place' alongside the other works I may add soon. In its own way, it's even more horrific because it is absolutely true that it took place. It contains description and reference to a grisly execution forced workers were compelled to witness. Mostly, I write to entertain, and to provide enjoyment and intrigue - often by building creative works around real life facts, beliefs and artefacts. I do hope you find enjoyment in my work and thank you for your ongoing interest and support. My own story includes a long transition from soldier to peripatetic teacher, and I draw on life experience and qualifications in psychology, teaching and religion to bring a measure of credibility to the fiction I write around the occult and other dark forces at large.
